The forwarder said the acquisition was a strategic move to complement the Nordic regional network having previously established a structure in Norway, which was subsequently joined by a similar investment in Denmark.
G Solutions, established in 2006, is headquartered in the maritime hub of Gothenburg, with additional offices in Stockholm and Helsinki.
"As an export driven economy Sweden is an industrial powerhouse," the forwarder said. "Alongside Finland, the area matches perfectly many of Bollore Logistics' strategic industry verticals, such as mining, power, automotive, aeronautics and defence, telecom, hi tech, healthcare and retail."
Henri Le Gouis, chief executive, Europe, of Bollore Logistics, said: "As the deal neared completion, we have already been working together under a partnership arrangement. This already delivered many commercial opportunities and we are delighted now to formalise our shared future, such as coupling up with the company's industrial projects division, and to offer Swedish exporters new logistics solutions boosting their performances into the African, Middle East and Asian markets."
G Solutions managing director Johan Moerth added: "In the challenging times of Covid-19 we are already extending Bollore Logistics charter options and bespoke industry solutions across the full range of clients in our region. Whether it be China, the Americas or our unparalleled reach in Africa, we are seeing immediate synergies between our local client relationships and the power and scope of solutions that only a major player can provide."
The forwarder said the moved extends its network to 600 offices in 109 countries with 25,000 employees.
