CMA CGM ups Asia-Mideast/ Med/ W Africa rates mid-December

FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM will levy a number of Asia-to-Mideast/Africa rate increases in December, the company announced.
 

Effective December 1 cargo from Asia to Middle East Gulf ports rates will increase to US$200 per TEU on all dry, OOG, breakbulk and reefer cargo.

Also effective December 1, cargo from Asia including China, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, east coast of India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka going to Mozambique and Tamatave in Madagascar will face a rate increase of $150 per TEU on dry, reefer, OOG and breakbulk cargo.

Effective December 15 there will the same charge repeated on cargo from Asia to Middle East Gulf ports rates will again increase to US$200 per TEU on all dry, OOG, breakbulk and reefer cargo.

Effective December 15, cargo from Asia including China, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, east coast of India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka going to Kenya, Tanzania, Somalia (Mogadishu), Mauritius and the Maldives will face a rate increase of $200 per TEU on dry, reefer, OOG and breakbulk cargo.

From December 15, cargo from Japanese ports to those in Bangladesh bound for northern Europe including UK and the full range from Portugal to Finland/Estonia will be subject to new rates of US$1,150 per TEU, $2,200 per FEU, $2,250 per FEU high cube and $2,200 per FEU reefer.

From December 16, cargo China, South Korea, Taiwan and Japan to West Africa all ports will be subject to a rate restoration rate of $500 per TEU.On December 15, Asia-Western Mediterranean rates will increase to $1,100 per TEU, $2,250 per FEU and FEU high cube and reefer.To the Adriatic $1,150 per TEU, $2,250 per FEU high cube and reefer. To the Black Sea, they will go to $1,400 per TEU, $2,400 per FEU, and the same for high cube and reefer FEUs. To the eastern Mediterranean, they will go to $1,350 per TEU, $2,300 per FEU, same for high cube and reefer FEUs. To Syria, they will go to $1,350 per TEU, $2,300 per FEU, same for high cube and reefer FEUs. Also on December 15, Asia-Algeria rates will go to $1,900 per TEU, $3,650 per FEU and high cube $3 675 FEU. To Tunisia, they will rise to $1,850 per TEU, $3,500 per FEU and high cube $3 575 FEU. To Libya, $1,900 per TEU, $3,600 per FEU and high cube $3,675 FEU. To Morocco, $1,400 per TEU, $2,600 per FEU and high cube $2,675 FEU.To the Adriatic, rates will go to $1,150 per TEU, $2,250 per FEU high cube and reefer. To the Black Sea, they will go to $1,400 per TEU, $2,400 per FEU, and the same for high cube and reefer FEUs. To the eastern Mediterranean, they will go to $1,350 per TEU, $2,300 per FEU, same for high cube and reefer FEUs. To Syria $1,350 per TEU, $2,300 per FEU, same for high cube and reefer FEUs.
